4 Week (Vacation?)

This last month, Todd went to a training for Avery in Massachutes. It was four weeks long so instead of staying home with Ty I visited family in California and Utah. It was fun and really good to see family but I missed my husband.

While in Utah we went to a family reunion at a favorite campground, Warm River. Ty loved it. He also loved showing his new pearly whites. He now has five.

I figured where Ty's blue eyes came from. They are almost exactly the same color as my dads.

5th of July!

Since the 4th was on a sunday we enjoyed a great 5th of July, not that we didn't enjoy the 4th but the 5th was a little more exciting. We had a fun BBQ get-together with the Avery families

We went to our first offical pro-sports game in Ohio. We saw the indians play the nationals last week. It was a lot of fun. I think Ty enjoyed himself for the most part, except when anyone cheered.

We Moved!

It's been a little crazy these last few months. Nothing like a crazy job search to keep you on your toes. Todd found a job and recieved an offer from a great company called Avery Dennison (office products, etc.) and was accepted into their leadership program. Avery has many locations across the country but California it the only thing they have out west. So you can guess my excitement when I thought we were going to be headed to L.A. area but turns out we felt we needed to be in Ohio at this time. We're in Painesville Ohio which is about ten minutes north-east of Kirtland. It is beautiful here. I love the area and people. Our ward is amazing and we've met several other younger couples in our same complex that are also members and in the Avery leadership program. So far we love it here and are excited to be entering into the "grown-up" stage of our lives.

Valentines day weekend!

We went to Provo for Valentines weekend. Ty really wanted to see his Gramma and Granpa Christensen. We all stayed at Grammy and Grandpa Greats house and enjoyed delicious dinners and the company of Layne and Cheryl and family. While we were there Tyson really showed his smiles off. He even smiled when he was reading the paper with Todd. We had a fun time visiting with Bri and Craig even with Bri's little scare of false labor. Congratulations Briana and Craig! It was a great weekend.

Our Growing Boy

I can't believe how fast Ty is growing. He keeps getting cuter everyday. I know every mother says this but Ty is seriously the cutest baby ever. He went for his first walk this week. Tyson has only been outside three times and this week he went for his first stroller ride. I don't really know if he liked it, I couldn't tell but he sure looked cute in his stroller.

Our Little Boy is Here!

Tyson Todd Miller was born at 7:31 pm on December 4th. I wasn't too keen on the idea of having a december baby (no offense to december babies out there) but what can you do? All I know is that I'm excited he's here and that I'm not pregnant anymore. So here's the story if any of you wish to know...
I had my inducment date set on the 4th which I was hoping he would come before. I guess he felt the Rexburg cold against my belly (since I couldn't close any of my coats) and decided to stay in where he was nice and warm. So I started being induced around 9 am and didn't really feel painful contractions until they broke my water at 1pm. It wasn't too long after that when I decided to get an epidural. I highly recommend one to anyone who is going through labor. I hadn't been able to sit in a bed that comfortably in 9 nine months. Anyways, I was in labor for a couple of hours and they had to monitor Tyson pretty closely because his heart rate lowered way down everytime I had a contraction. They tried to do everything, they stoped to drug that was inducing me, they tried to put water back in my uterus but he was still pretty stressed so finally around 7 pm they decided it was probably a knot in his cord so they sent me to get a c-section. It was a good thing too because he ended up being pretty tangled in his cord. It was wrapped around his leg, arm, sholder, and neck. He also had a 15 inch head (most are between 13 and 14) and I'm really glad I didn't have to try and push him out. The nurses said he probably wouldn't have come out naturally anyways. Another reason I'm glad they ended up doing the c-section was because they found a cyst and took it out right then and there. They wouldn't have know it was there if I hadn't had a c-section. Tyson came out perfectly healthy and they brought him out to Todd while I was still being sewn up. I just remember thinking how beautiful he was and how I couldn't believe he was actually mine. Up until then he was just something kicking me from the inside while I tried to sleep. I enjoyed him then but I really enjoy him now and love him. It's amazing how after only a week, he can have such a personality. He is sweet and loves to be held. When he is being held, he doesn't fuss or squirm he just stares at you and Gramma Christensen and I have sworn that we've seen him smile a few times. He really is very pleasant. I wonder how long that will last.
