Happy 1st Birthday Tyson!

Well, Ty is officially 1 year old. I can't believe it has been a whole year that we've had him in our lives. Todd and I were talking yesterday about being in the hospital and waiting for him to come and how excited we were just to see his face and who he looked like. He has changed sooo much since that day. We have all changed, we feel, for the better. Tyson makes us so happy and even though we get flustered ever now and then we can't express the joy we feel when we are all together and recieve one of those crooked Tyson smiles. It's been so neat to see him grow and learn. These last weeks especially seemed like he has picked up so much. He is quite the chatter box and loves to hide things. He has a specific place, between the vhs player and dvd player, where he likes to hide things such as remotes, phones and nail clippers. If one of those is missing pretty good chance it is in his hiding spot. We had a fun time celebrating his birthday. I don't think he knew what was going on but he has definitely been enjoying the new toys.

This is Tyson eating his birthday cake. he's had cake before so it wasn't that big of a deal but he did like that we just let him at it and feed himself.

He just looked at us funny when we sang to him and didn't get to do with the candle. He loved the frosting though, so did Claire.
One of Ty's presents. Yeah I know it looks like a big deal but really it was 15 bucks off of Craigslist. The kids love it. And I figure with it being snowy and cold this will be a nice thing for play dates we have this winter. Ty loves going down the slide and trying to climb up it. He learned that from Claire.
This is Tyson's cake. I really wanted to decorate one for him and because Kristen let me borrow her stuff I was able to do it. I think it turned out really well for my first time and it wasn't has hard or time-consuming as I was expecting it to be.

Thanksgiving

Sorry I'm a little late, but I thought I give an update about Thanksgiving. Todd and I weren't able to fly out to California where the rest of my family was celebrating Thanksgiving so we decided to host Dinner at our place. With the help of my good friend, Kristen, we had a very enjoyable time. Kayla and Jeremy Huntsucker were able to come as well as Rachel and Stoss Loposchanscky (really have no idea with that one, sorry guys) and Rachel's parents were able too. We had more than enough food and the desserts were amazing. It's always fun to spend time with good friends.
Ty Loved Thanksgiving dinner. I didn't think it was possible that he could eat so much food. He loved the potatoes and stuffing. He even enjoyed all the left over turkey meals.
This is our turkey. It actually looks really gross in this picture but it tasted pretty good if I do say so myself. This turkey was our first so now we know for next time exactly how long the turkey will take. We under-guessed by 40 minutes. Oh well, it tasted good and we had a fun night.
