Happy 1st Birthday Tyson!

Well, Ty is officially 1 year old. I can't believe it has been a whole year that we've had him in our lives. Todd and I were talking yesterday about being in the hospital and waiting for him to come and how excited we were just to see his face and who he looked like. He has changed sooo much since that day. We have all changed, we feel, for the better. Tyson makes us so happy and even though we get flustered ever now and then we can't express the joy we feel when we are all together and recieve one of those crooked Tyson smiles. It's been so neat to see him grow and learn. These last weeks especially seemed like he has picked up so much. He is quite the chatter box and loves to hide things. He has a specific place, between the vhs player and dvd player, where he likes to hide things such as remotes, phones and nail clippers. If one of those is missing pretty good chance it is in his hiding spot. We had a fun time celebrating his birthday. I don't think he knew what was going on but he has definitely been enjoying the new toys.

This is Tyson eating his birthday cake. he's had cake before so it wasn't that big of a deal but he did like that we just let him at it and feed himself.
Before:
During:

After:
He just looked at us funny when we sang to him and didn't get to do with the candle. He loved the frosting though, so did Claire.
One of Ty's presents. Yeah I know it looks like a big deal but really it was 15 bucks off of Craigslist. The kids love it. And I figure with it being snowy and cold this will be a nice thing for play dates we have this winter. Ty loves going down the slide and trying to climb up it. He learned that from Claire.
This is Tyson's cake. I really wanted to decorate one for him and because Kristen let me borrow her stuff I was able to do it. I think it turned out really well for my first time and it wasn't has hard or time-consuming as I was expecting it to be.

Thanksgiving

Sorry I'm a little late, but I thought I give an update about Thanksgiving. Todd and I weren't able to fly out to California where the rest of my family was celebrating Thanksgiving so we decided to host Dinner at our place. With the help of my good friend, Kristen, we had a very enjoyable time. Kayla and Jeremy Huntsucker were able to come as well as Rachel and Stoss Loposchanscky (really have no idea with that one, sorry guys) and Rachel's parents were able too. We had more than enough food and the desserts were amazing. It's always fun to spend time with good friends.
Ty Loved Thanksgiving dinner. I didn't think it was possible that he could eat so much food. He loved the potatoes and stuffing. He even enjoyed all the left over turkey meals.
This is our turkey. It actually looks really gross in this picture but it tasted pretty good if I do say so myself. This turkey was our first so now we know for next time exactly how long the turkey will take. We under-guessed by 40 minutes. Oh well, it tasted good and we had a fun night.

More Halloween

Here are some photos from our ward Trunk-or-Treat that was indoors because it was rainy. When we first got there, all the lights were off. Wow talk about really getting into the halloween mood but really the power was out. Luckily it came back on so that we could have our party. Ty had fun. He never fussed about the costume, surprisingly, and he totally got the idea to grab candy from the bowls. I think his favorite part of the night was when we were helping clean up and just kinda let him roam around the gym. Who knows how many wrappers he found but he had fun picking up little toys here and there that were left behind. Overall it was a great night!

Ty is growing so fast, I can't believe it. We really haven't done much lately but I'll update with some pictures.

This was Ty and I before Stake Conference. He look super cute in his little suit. 12 bucks at sears clearance. I was happy with the find.

This is the beach park 5 mins from home. We decided to take a walk while the weather was still warmer. It was a gorgeous morning at 8 in the morning. Ty still looks sleepy

This was Ty's first pumkin carving and he throughly enjoyed it. We didn't let him touch the pumpkin because We didn't want a mess but now I wish we had because I'm sure it would have been cute and made good photo memories.

These are our finished products. I think they turned out really well. Todd's (wolf) won the overall best at our ward trunk-or-treat. Pretty cool.

Lindsay's 24th Birthday

On the 14th I celebrated an awesome birthday with Todd and Ty. It was nice and relaxing. Ty was good for me, which was my birthday wish! Todd made me a delicious neopolitan fudge ice cream cake. Thanks Babe for a great birthday. I love you.

Halloween Party

Avery had a company Halloween Party last week. It was a lot of fun. Ty was a little overwehlmed by the loud music and people dressed up but it seemed like he had a great time. I had a lot of fun making Ty's costume and I'm glad he was able to wear it more than once this year.

Claire was at the party too. She looked pretty cute in her garden fairy costume. (Great job, Kristen)

Fall Time!

Fall is here and it is gorgeous. I'm loving the red leaves. I never seen it quite like this before. Ohio is so pretty in the fall. Here are some pictures that I took from our balcony. We really do have a nice view.

We finally made to the beach

Even though we're not in California, we do have a beach 5 minutes away. It's actually a really nice beach although I'm not too sure about the water. Since summer is winding down, we decided to go see what the beach was all about. We had a fun evening. Ty thought the sand was amazing until he got a mouthful of it. We took some fun pictures and I tried to be creative (not that it worked well)

Trip to Palmyra

Todd surprised me when he planned a trip to Palmyra. I've always wanted to go and now that we're only 4 hours away we finally got to go. We loved the church history sites. It was truly an amazing place to visit.

Hill Cumorah. Yes it was really, really windy.

Smith Family Farm

Ty loved being in the Sacred Grove. He couldn't not look at the trees blowing in the breeze.

I know it's a weird picture but this was our first time eating a P.F. Changs. We got two meals and an appetizer for just 14 bucks. We only waited two hours before getting our food.

4 Week (Vacation?)

This last month, Todd went to a training for Avery in Massachutes. It was four weeks long so instead of staying home with Ty I visited family in California and Utah. It was fun and really good to see family but I missed my husband.

He's one cool dude! A present from Massachutes for when he's older!

He was so happy to be allowed to act like a monkey

What's Aunt Holly doing with such a stud?!

While in Utah we went to a family reunion at a favorite campground, Warm River. Ty loved it. He also loved showing his new pearly whites. He now has five.

I figured where Ty's blue eyes came from. They are almost exactly the same color as my dads.

5th of July!

Since the 4th was on a sunday we enjoyed a great 5th of July, not that we didn't enjoy the 4th but the 5th was a little more exciting. We had a fun BBQ get-together with the Avery families

Ty really likes Swings. It almost put him to sleep I need one in the apartment.

It was good to finally get a picture of the Avery babies!
Claire is a little out numbered I think

Claire and Coulson. They're pretty much boyfriend and girlfriend and super cute.

Take me out to the ball game!

We went to our first offical pro-sports game in Ohio. We saw the indians play the nationals last week. It was a lot of fun. I think Ty enjoyed himself for the most part, except when anyone cheered.
