Our Summer Travels

So we've offically moved to Provo and here is our documented stories of the move. We drove from Fort Wayne to Provo in 3 days. Todd's Dad came to help us move and drive the moving truck for which I am extremely grateful for. I don't know if I would still be sane if I had to drive the Camry with just me and the boys. It was actually a great trip. Ty never once complained about getting back into his car seat and he kept himself occupied with playing with toys and watching movies. I had made special roadtrip bags that he got twice a day. They had lot's of goodies and stickers and a toy airplane in them. He was pretty excited each time he got one. Colt couldn't have been better. He slept when he needed to and didn't cry a whole lot in between. He is definitely my happy child.

Grandpa Miller and Ty became best friends over that week

After our arrival in Provo, we really unloaded the truck and left for Tremonton to spend a day there to relax before we went to a reunion at Warm River Idaho.

Ty's new favorite Toy, the kitchen
We such a great visit with family and I know Todd was happy to be there since it had been 5 years since he's been to a Nelson Campout. We drove back to Tremonton and relaxed for 2 days and then headed to Northern California to visit with Mom and Dad. Were were there for a whole day before heading down to Southern California for a family reunion. We decided to stop by my sister's place in Visialia for a nice little visit before heading to San Luis Obispo for the Reunion. The reunion was fun and was a nice break for the warm weather, the warmest it got was maybe 70. After the reunion we took our travels to Bakersfield to visit Todd's sibilings that are there selling pest control. We had yet another short but great visit with them before we had back north to actually spend 4 nights in one place at my parents house.

While there we went to Discovery Kingdom with my parents. They were nice enough to take the boys home half-way through the day and let Todd and I enjoy the rides and a nice evening by our selves. It was so much fun. Thanks Mom and Dad.

Our little Gansta

I was so accostumed to this face of that 2 1/2 weeks

Waiting in line for Tyson's first ever ride.

This was Ty's first ride. He was fussy in this picture because He wanted to sit on the bench and get the ride started

A fun little playhouse they had in the kid area

Colt in the shark room. He loved it. He was such a good little guy for us that day even though we were terrible parents and forgot to put sunscreen on him

Couldn't visit home with out visiting the Jelly Belly factory. I haven't been in four years. It was fun.

We had some very tired boys after our trip. We averaged roughly 200 miles a day over the 20 days we were traveling. It was fun but I don't want to do it again.

Our last memories of Fort wayne

Wow has summer just flown by? It has for me. I guess I have a lot of catching up to do. I guess I'll start with Todd's birthday way back in June. My Wonderful hubby turned 26 this year, old man! He ended taking the day off of work which was a fun surprise. So since he had the day off we went to the Fort Wayne Science Central. I don't know if it was a bigger present for Todd or Ty, they both loved it. Ty loved all of the hands on experiments and Todd loved showing them to Ty. They sure were a fun couple boys to watch. Colt had fun because he got a good nap through it.

He was upset because his helmet was on backwards

My little space man

Happy 26th Daddy!

I made chocolate chip cookies bowls (as seen on pintrest) They were really delicious but they were a lot of sugar.

Our Storm!
We had a pretty bad storm come through Fort Wayne. Winds hit up to 91 mph and 80,000 + people lost power for a few days. It was pretty crazy, I hadn't experienced anything like that before. It was pretty crazy driving around town and seeing huge trees crashed into rooftops. No body was injured which was good but there was a lot of damage. Here are some pictures of our complex:

This is actually taken from my doorway. I took this picture about 2 hours after the storm, notice the sky is as blue as could be. That's what it looked like until 10 mins before the storm hit.

We had such a great time in Fort Wayne, if it was closer to family I'd be perfectly happy living there for the rest of my life. Thank You to all our friends who made it a very special time for us.
